Ahead of Akwa Ibom State Governorship Elections, N.E.A.R Group Endorses His Excellency, Obong Nsima Udo Ekere.
The coordinator NSIMA EKERE A REALITY (N.E.A.R) Group Mrs. Motema Udoh has endorsed the candidature of the erstwhile Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State; His Excellency, Obong Nsima Udo Ekere in the 2nd March 2019 general elections. According to her, the track record of the contestant makes him the best candidate to become Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State come May 2019.
Speaking to a group of newsmen after the latest edition of the NSIMA EKERE, A REALITY (N.E.A.R) Group’s – (Know Your Candidate) door to door rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on the 29th January 2019, Mrs. Udoh who also sits as a director on the board of Proactive Women Initiative (PWI) an NGO which was established in 2016 with professional women from different cultural, religious and academic background to provide support for women affected by domestic violence and sexual assault in Nigeria commended His Excellency, Obong Nsima Udo Ekere for clearly articulating the problems faced especially by the most vulnerable in the society.
She further stated that the strategic focus of the incoming administration will certainly build a better tomorrow filled with opportunities, unity and hope for all Akwa Ibom people. The coordinator of N.E.A.R Group observed with joy the fact that Obong Nsima Udo Ekere’s policies and programs are founded on social justice and equality for all and his vision for our collective prosperity is anchored on five thematic areas which he christened the Five Pillars of Change.
She therefore called on women, youths, the most vulnerable in the society and all those who are often affected by poor policies of government to come out in support of this noble cause and elect His Excellency, Obong Nsima Udo Ekere as Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State as a vote for him will bring about Economic Prosperity, Infrastructure and Rural Development, Education, Health and Social Protection, Security and most importantly, Governance and Institutional Reforms.
The group intends to hold a similar rally in the remaining senatorial districts before the general elections.
